(I'm serving Acton/ Ealing/ Shepherds Bush and the surrounding areas). Online lessons also available via Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp. All levels and ages are welcome worldwide ( lessons are taught in English or Greek). In the sections below you can read about the topics that are being discussed and practiced during the lessons depending on your level and the rates for each lesson. I am also preparing students for their ABRSM, Trinity and RockSchool guitar exams (all grades). Learn the fundamentals and all the basic skills you need and achieve playing your first song. We will cover everything you need to know in order to make a nice solid start in the guitar and ukulele world. Regardless of the style of music that you best love you will be able in the end of the course to play songs from your favourite bands and artists.

Hold the instrument properly and use your fingers
Play notes in the first position
Read notes from the stave and tab
Strum
Play chords
Play scales
Develop your technique in both hands
Play your first song
Further improve your guitar and ukulele knowledge and skills in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
During the lessons we will mainly focus on:
Scales: Learn all the basic scales you need to know to stand out in different positions
Chords: Learn basic and extended chords all over the fingerboard
Technique: More advanced exercises on strumming and fingerstyle
Improvisation: Learn how to jam along with your friends
Preparation of your favorite songs
As an advanced guitarist you will learn how to master your technique with advanced speed and arpeggio exercises, specialize and learn the things you need to know to stand out in your field. The main course that I'm currently offering to advanced guitarists is specialization in the Country/ Blues fingerstyle guitar.
COUNTRY BLUES FINGERSTYLE GUITAR
Have you ever seen a solo guitarist/singer/songwritter in a show playing the guitar with fingers and you have wondered how can he get this complete sound out of only a single guitar? Or maybe an old blues artist and you are fascinated with his unorthodox and raw guitar playing? If this makes you wonder how it’s done and you want to get yourself into the world of learning how to play these sounds on your guitar then you will need to get yourself into the world of fingerstyle guitar.
We will first examine the fundamentals of the fingerstyle guitar. You will learn all that you need to know and what to practise in order to get in a good shape and feel confident of applying this in your playing. Then will go deeply in the main theme of the course which is the Country/Blues fingerstyle. There we will get more specific and you will learn how to play various blues styles derived from different Southern state regions. You will furthermore learn how to use different techniques on your fingerstyle and how to get the nice sound out of your blues. Being aware and confident of playing and improving your technique on these styles can establish you not only as a good country/blues guitarist but it will improve your skills as a good all around guitar player too.
